To the moms of two leggeds and fur babies … I hope your day was filled with love, hugs, and sloppy licks.
I took My Mama on an extra-long walk that ended with a dash toward tree cover. The leafy tree branches provided shelter from the rain. We were wetted but not soaked to the skin.
Mom tried talking me into running around in the rain. She thought I needed a rainwater bath. I said, “No way!” I don’t want my survival of a lightning bolt zap to be part of my accomplishments; nor do I want to be a curly-haired mutt.
When we got home, we were damp but safe and sound. I treated Mom to chocolate and she gave me pumpkin. Soon our treats were gobbled. Then Mom spent time yacking on the phone with her sons. I lay beside her, using my paw to remind her to keep petting me. All that petting tired us right into nap time.
It appears Mom had a happy day cuz she wore a silly, all-day smile.
I wish a pawsitively grand day to all Moms.
